Biography:
Dr. Townson is Clinical Professor, UBC Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Associate Head, Education, of the UBC Department of Medicine. She obtained her medical degree at Queen’s University and completed her Residency Training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of British Columbia. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Certificant of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In addition, she holds subspecialty certification in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has a Masters of Science in Health Professions Education from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.
