Biography:
Dr. Krassioukov is a clinician – scientist with internationally recognized expertise in the area of autonomic dysfunctions following spinal cord injury. His clinical and experimental work is supported by grants from the Canadian Institute for Health Research, Canadian Foundation for Innovation, Rick Hansen Foundation, PRAXIS, Craig Neilsen Foundation, Department of Defense USA, Wings for Life and many others. Dr. Krassioukov has published more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, books, book chapters and reviews.
Dr. Krassioukov is a member of numerous advisory boards of international research organizational and industry involved in research and clinical management of individuals with spinal cord injury and disability.
Dr. Krassioukov’s work in the area of spinal cord injury has been recognized through numerous national and international awards including the inaugural Alan Brown Award from American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA). Prof. Krassioukov was inducted as a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Science in 2010 and awarded medals by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for his contribution to Paralympic movement. Dr. Krassioukov is the first Canadian physician elected as President (2018-2022) of the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA).
